Partnership with Professional Athletes Promote 3-A-Day™ of Dairy
Having a positive role model is important when it comes to students establishing a healthy life-style. That is why ADADC has teamed up with several sport teams throughout the marketing area to reach out to students about the importance of establishing a healthy diet – including three servings of dairy each day.
New Jersey Nets:
ADADC’s partnership with the New Jersey Nets basketball team held several basketball clinics throughout New York City. The clinics not only showcased basketball skills, but also promoted healthy eating, including 3 servings of dairy each day.
New York Liberty:
ADADC and 3-A-Day™ of Dairy’s partnership with the NY Liberty included having a “Kids Day” where “3-A-Day” guests were able to meet Liberty players and get autographs along with participating in the Liberty fan tunnel.
New York Giants:
During the fall, posters featuring Antonio Pierce were displayed in school cafeterias throughout the region. In addition, schools with the highest increase in breakfast consumption will receive a player appearance.
Buffalo Bills:
Lee Evans of the Buffalo Bills was featured in school posters and made several appearances promoting 3-A-Day™. In addition, Lee Evans participated in a “meet and greet” with city’ high school champion football team.
New York Mets:
ADADC and the Mets promoted 3-A-Day™ of Dairy during the Mets’ series against the St. Louis Cardinals. Throughout the game, in-stadium commercials were played saying that “in order to prevent from getting 3 outs, you need to get 3-A-Day ™of Dairy.”
In addition, the Mets helped to promote Tres-Al-Día through their “Put Low-Fat Dairy in the Lineup” promotion. Outfielder Endy Chavez and his mom were featured in advertisements enjoying milk, cheese, and yogurt. These photos were also showcased in the Mets’ program, behind home plate, and even in an in-stadium commercial which played throughout various games.
With the Hispanic population being the fastest growing ethnicity in the US, it is important to reach out to this group through the Tres-Al-Día program to ensure the continuation of dairy product use. |
