Dairy Princesses throughout ADADC’s marketing region are an important part of the communications team. Their hard work, love for the industry, endless energy, and grass-roots efforts reach consumers on a daily basis.

Every  summer, over 20 county and state dairy princesses were on hand at the Great New York State Fair’s Dairy Day.

These young industry spokespersons have a busy day promoting dairy – beginning early in the morning with an awards breakfast, followed by the annual Media Milkshake contest, a cheese auction, dairy cattle show, television interviews, parade, and a lot of one-on-one time with consumers.

Dairy princesses and their families don’t  end their promoting when Dairy Day was over – they bring their show cows on various television stations for the animal’s first close-up and attend many promotions.

County Dairy Princesses Compete for State Title

Twenty-seven county dairy princesses competed in the state pageant, which consisted of a personal interview, a prepared adult speech, a product knowledge exam, a writing skills test, and informal interaction with others. Judges evaluated the contestants on their communication skills and knowledge of the dairy industry, as well as their poise and personality.

Dairy princesses from throughout the capital region were present to promote the new Domino’s American Legend’s™ pizzas during New York’s June Dairy Month celebration. Through the promotion, they were able to talk directly to consumers about how the pizzas contain 40% more cheese.

 Dairy Princesses In Action

Whether it is writing newspaper articles, talking with school children or even attending several local events, dairy princesses from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York are key to reaching consumers not only on the importance of the dairy industry, but also the importance of getting three servings of dairy each day.
